Pretoria/Ginebra, a 6 de noviembre de 2013 – El primer taller internacional de formación sobre el muestreo de ADN de rinoceronte se celebró en Sudáfrica los días 5 y 6 de noviembre de 2013. El objetivo del taller fue mejorar la capacidad de los responsables de la aplicación de las leyes en el mundo para responder a la oleada de caza furtiva de rinocerontes que ha supuesto la matanza de más de 800 ejemplares en Sudáfrica desde enero de 2013
El ICCWC imparte formación específica a los funcionarios responsables de la aplicación de las leyes sobre vida silvestre. Se fomenta una mayor colaboración entre países africanos y asiáticos.
El Consorcio Internacional para Combatir los Delitos contra la Vida Silvestre (ICCWC) impartió un taller de formación avanzada a funcionarios responsables de la aplicación de las leyes sobre vida silvestre de 21 países. El taller se impartió durante dos días en Nairobi, Kenya, los días 30 y 31 de octubre de 2013.
